Iddaburg cheese takes its name from the small pilgrimage site of St. Iddaburg, which was named in honor of St. Idda of Toggenburg. This is enthroned above the Eggsteig cheese dairy, on a 966-metre-high mountain with a magnificent view over the whole of lower Toggenburg. With its mild, milky, full-bodied taste, it is ideal for a fine aperitif platter.
